About
There
are two main reasons why heroin users are unable to quit on their
own. The first is the physical dependence and subsequent heroin
withdrawal and can feel like the most painful flu you’ve
ever experienced. We address withdrawal and heroin rehab detox withdrawal
in more depth in the Orientation page.
The second reason that it is difficult to quit
is the psychological dependence on heroin. Users seek escape from
reality and pleasure and believe heroin will provide it. And it
does up to the point of dependence then the consequences outweigh
the benefits to an insane degree. The psychological effects of heroin
are also addressed in the Orientation page.
The
point being is that effective heroin addiction
treatment must actively manage and find alternatives for both
these behaviors. Heroin help begins
with the process of heroin withdrawal. Heroin Drug Treatment offers
a safe and comfortable place to go through this process. Our clients
often go through periods of insomnia and physical pain. Heroin Drug
Treatment makes available all of its resources to manage the symptoms
of heroin withdrawal and clean the body and mind as quickly
and painlessly as possible.
Our facilities are well placed in a Florida coastal
resort and have a wide variety of services and amenities. Our beautiful
patio gardens and views of the beach make working on the psychological
effects of heroin that much easier.
Our
highly trained counseling staff walks our clients through an intense
inner examination that uncovers behavioral patterns and thoughts
that contribute to heroin use. Through individual and group therapy
clients learn that they are not alone and are introduced to a 12-step
recovery group to help them continue to learn to live after they
leave the heroin treatment facility.
